A stands for Anonymous.
A stands for the 9 A’s I had in my name before I was married.

This picture hangs on the wall of my study and is the first thing I see when I enter my home. When we moved into our new house in Sydney Australia in 2015, we had the privilege of using interior designers to choose every piece of furniture and furnishings for our home. With 3 young children, an extremely full (I don’t like to use the word busy) life in business and church leadership, delegating the interior design was a huge blessing. This picture is the only artwork that I chose and purchased without the designers influence. It spoke very loudly to me and still does each day as I enter my house of the call to LIVE SIMPLY.

Living simply has less to do with action and surroundings, and more to do with the posture of our heart. As business owners, do we live and work from a place of rest in Him or do we find ourselves stressing, striving and doing things in our own strength?

In a world full of noise and distraction, it can be hard to tune into what God is saying. As business owners in particular there can be many things vying for our attention. However it’s important to learn the art of intentionally tuning into Heaven’s sound. When we learn to turn down the noise and amp up the sound, we start to see things from heaven’s perspective and this is where we can lead our businesses from a place of joy, peace and freedom.

My prayer as I share these writings with you, is that it will help you to personally tune into His voice for your business and life.

P.S And why anonymous? I felt led to inspire and encourage without the distraction of another ‘figurehead’. In a world full of comparison and competition, I hope you feel blessed ‘hearing’ what God has to say without the layers of complexity and distraction that can come from WHO is sharing it. Without knowing who I am, hopefully you can hear Him more clearly.
